On behalf of the residents and Council of the Town of Newmarket, welcome to the 2022-23 Visual and Performing Arts Newmarket (VPAN) Concert Series.  

This concert series – now in its 25th season – is a great example of how the arts enrich our lives and helps to build great communities. Through songs and music, the performers in this series do more than merely entertain us, they bring us together and connect us to a universal human experience.  

This year's series features the Take Five Ensemble chamber quintet, Quatuor Despax string quartet, and the Drew Jureka Trio – musicians who have performed around the world and in television and films – as well as the ever-popular Young Artists Showcase, featuring musicians from across York Region.  The lineup shows us once again why this incredible series has continued for a quarter-century.  

Congratulations to the organizers, artists, members and volunteers who make this concert series a reality. Your commitment and dedication to the arts make Newmarket and York Region a better place. Bravo!  

Thank you to the audience for supporting this series and these performers, and for coming together to celebrate and sustain the arts in this community.
